The permanent collection of art in a person's community gallery is a resource for the city, and a legacy for the future. it is like a nest egg, to be nurtured and cherished.

Permanent collections declare that a community cares about more than the grunt and groan of commerce - that it also values non-material things like inquiry and discourse, history and beauty. Art collections celebrate the soul of a community.
